Cubs fans need not worry this article will not jinx their beloved baseball team this year, but rather push them in the right direction to a championship. This article is the precursor to cubbies fans absolute euphoria, a world series title. Instead of jinxing them this article will simply show 5 legit reasons why this is the year. Whether anybody agrees with these reasons or they think they're absolutley ridiculous, we have eliminated the jinx factor in ways I'm not at liberty to say. Be reassured that this is classified information and only the die hardest of cubs fans are in this secret society to have the privelage of the documents of the anti-jinx. The 10 reasons are etched in stone
5. Dusty Baker is an announcer- Don't underestimate this factor, perhaps the worst game manager anybody has ever seen and the craziest of crazy lineup changes. Sure the cubs were 5 outs away from going the series, but if they had made it does anybody really believe that he out manages the legend Joe Torre. The series would have been over faster than you can say "Neifi Perez should never be in a major league lineup".
4. Red Sox and White Sox both end their championship droughts in a span of 2 years- Whether its a government conspiracy or Bud Selig, whoever is responsible for these 2 atrocities will come out of the bushes this year. Bud Selig will resign as the cubs overtake his beloved Brewers for the division title, and the new commish will be the one who was responsible for the Soxes winning.
3. Alfonso Soriano is the best leadoff hitter the Cubs have ever had- Although he strikes out too much and rarely walks he can instantly put the cubs ahead. Juan Pierre is the worst leadoff hitter in the history of the game. Brant Brown and Mark Bellhorn were one year wonders and the rest aren't worth mentioning. Finally we have a force at the top.
2. Aramis Ramirez and Derrick Lee- Both of these guys are incredible to watch on a daily basis. Ramirez is the calmest coolest cubs hitter Ive ever witnessed with the game on the line. He can be ridicoulous and hes an extreme power hitter who doesn't strike out. His fielding is s improved cubs fans never think for a second when the ball is hit his way. Lee is a hit machine, there will be parts of the season where he just makes hitting look easy and hes the best fielding first baseman in the game.
